Rotary Radio Night

This yearís Rotary Radio Night will be April 6. This is the night before local elections. Dee is heading up our big scholarship fund raiser again this year. Anyone who is one that committee needs to contact Dee and give him a hand. And if you are not on that committee , you can still give a hand. Also, will need Rotarians to help with 30 minute shifts to read advertisements. We always have Senior Rotarians , who help out, which is a lot of fun. Be sure to help think of businesses or politicians who we can get to donate to this worthwhile cause. More info as we get closer.

Weekly Observations

Well run businesses and our government run businesses seem to be on different pages. The postal system seems to be struggling and Social Security is a continual concern as to its future viability. And now our government involvement in the banking, financial and housing business does not give one a warm, fuzzy feeling. We are considering a bunch of attorneys, (most of those in Congress are attorneys), putting together a national health care plan. Doesnít that alone kind of make youÖ.well, sick. Attorneys seem to make better lawyers and judges. Just a thought.

Todayís Program

Chuck Hoskins, Jr. will be our speaker. He will talk about the new Indian Clinic coming to Vinita. This should be very informative.

Quote of the Day

"On every unauthoritative exercise of power by the legislature must the people rise in rebellion or their silence be construed into a surrender of that power to them? If so, how many rebellions should we have had already?"
